Stay safe on biskoon

Our top priority at biskoon is to ensure that your platform experience is as secure as possible. To help you stay safe while trading, we offer the following advice.

Here is how you can secure your Biskoon account with multi-factor authentication:

At Biskoon, we understand the importance of maintaining the highest levels of security for our users' accounts. That's why we offer multi-factor authentication (MFA) options to provide an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access. To enable Multi-factor Authentication, go to Edit Profile.

MFA requires users to provide more than one form of authentication to verify their identity when logging in. By activating MFA, users can ensure that even if their password is compromised, their account remains secure.

We offer two MFA options for our users:

Verification code: Users can use the Google Authenticator mobile app to generate a unique verification code that they must enter each time they log in to their account. This option provides an extra level of security as the code is time-sensitive and expires after a short period of time, making it more difficult for unauthorized users to gain access.

Code by email: Users can choose to receive a unique verification code in their email each time they log in to their Biskoon account. This option allows users to easily and conveniently receive their authentication code without the need for additional apps or software.

By enabling MFA on their account, users can significantly increase the security of their account and protect their personal information from unauthorized access.

Here are some general safety tips to keep in mind:

Keep your transactions local by meeting the seller in person and inspecting the item before making a payment.

When applying for a job, research the company and the position before providing personal information. Be cautious about interviews in remote locations.

Make sure to exchange the item and payment simultaneously. Buyers should not make any payments before receiving the item, while sellers should not send the item before receiving payment.

Use common sense and avoid anything that seems too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices or promises of easy money.

Never give out financial information, such as bank account details or PayPal/eBay information, that could be misused.

Here are some scams and frauds to be aware of:

Fake payment services: Please be aware that biskoon does not offer any form of payment scheme or protection. If you receive any emails claiming to offer such services, please report them. Only use online payment services or escrow sites if you are absolutely certain they are legitimate.

Fake information requests: biskoon will never send you emails asking for your personal details. If you receive such an email, do not click on any links. Instead, report the email and delete it.

Fake fee requests: Beware of anyone who asks for extra fees to buy or sell an item or service. biskoon does not request payments for item listed by lister in website.

Requests to use money transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram: These services are not intended for transactions between strangers, and many scams are carried out through them. Avoid any requests to use these services.
